Situated in the walled setting of the orchard site of Barry's Castle, our school Scoil Mhuire na Trocaire, can proudly boast of great space and play areas for our 200+ pupils; boys and girls. We provide a warm, welcoming and caring environment for all our pupils. Our school motto is "Mol an Óige is tiocfaidh sí" - praise is key to the progress and happiness of all our pupils.

Operation Transformation
10 @ 10 was an initiative run by Operation Transformation which encouraged schools to exercise for 10 minutes at 10 o' clock on the 10th of February. Our teachers have witnessed the benefits of this and 10 @ 10 is now a regular activity in our school.

RoboticsThe EMC Robotics competition involves children from schools building, programming and controlling a robot. The initiative aims to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning in a fun way. It prepares children for the future of technology and coding.

Carambola Lunch SchemeAll students from Junior Infants to 6th class, avail of a free lunch scheme. Lunches are delivered each morning and parents can chose what lunch their child receives. A sample lunch includes, water, a roll, a flapjack, and banana.
